Chelsea earned a high school diploma from Sunnyside High School and a bachelor's degree from Pacific Lutheran University. She is a Commissioner for the WA State Human Rights Commission and a Vice Chair of the Yakima County Democrats. She is a Board Director with the Central Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
