Nicole holds a bachelor's degree in sociology from Rutgers University and a master's degree in public administration from the University of Washington. She lives with her partner, Deb, in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle.

Nicole is the Deputy Director for Strategy of the Downtown Emergency Service Center (DESC) in Seattle, where she previously worked as the Director of Housing, Administration, and Development.
