Peyton Jamison graduated from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, with a Bachelor of Science in finance. He and his wife, Megan, have three children and live on acreage along Birmingham Highway. They are members of Birmingham United Methodist Church.

Peyton is currently the mayor of Milton. He was elected in 2021 and is serving his first term. Before becoming mayor, he served on the Milton City Council from 2018 to 2021.
