Alan is the Guilford County Commissioner for District 2. He works at the Guilford County Board of Commissioners, where he has been since 2014. He previously worked at Guilford County Emergency Services for 34 years, moving through the ranks to serve as Emergency Services Director from 2003 to 2013. He is president of Perdue & Associates Inc., a public safety and leadership consulting firm, and executive director of the Safer Buildings Coalition.

Alan Perdue is currently a Guilford County Commissioner representing District 2. He was first elected in 2014 and has served three terms.
