Steven is the Richmond County Tax Commissioner. He has been elected to the position four times, most recently in 2020. He unsuccessfully ran for Mayor in 2006.

Steven is a real estate broker and leadership training consultant. He is also a Professor of Business at Augusta University, Paine College, & University of Phoenix. Before this he worked as an executive in a family business and as a salesman in the healthcare industry.

Steven was born and raised in Augusta. He earned his B.S. in Business Administration and his MBA from Florida A&M University. He lives in Augusta with his wife and six children.
