Jody McClurg is currently a member of Dalton Public Schools' Board of Education. She was first elected in 2019 and has been in office for one term. She is also a member of the Dalton/Whitfield Zoning Commission.

Jody is a homemaker and community volunteer. She used to work at Shaw Industries. She used to be a trustee of the Dalton Education Foundation.

Jody is originally from Florence, Alabama. She has lived in Dalton for 28 years. She has a bachelor's degree in human resource management from Auburn University. She lives with her husband, Chuck. She attends Dalton First United Methodist Church.
