Linley Jones is currently the city council member representing District 1. She was first elected in 2015 and has been in office for two terms. She was elected Mayor Pro Tem by her fellow council members in 2022.

Linley is the founder of The Linley Jones Firm, PC, practices law in Buckhead, and appears as a senior legal analyst for CNN. She used to be the political editor of the Georgia State Law Review and a Senate page for the United States Senate Judiciary Committee in Washington, D.C.

Linley is originally from St. Simon's Island, Georgia. She has lived in Brookhaven for 25 years. She has a bachelor's degree in political science from Emory University and a law degree from Georgia State University. She lives with her husband and son.
