She used to be the Hispanic liaison for former President Clinton and vice-president of the National Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. She used to work for the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and for former Seattle city council member Tom Rasmussen and mayor Durkan at Seattle City Hall.
