Jennifer Jones is currently a director of the Federal Way Public School Board. She was first elected in 2019 and has been in office for one term. She is vice president of the board.

Jennifer is a professor of geography and global studies at Highline College, where she has worked for 25 years. She used to be a social worker and a communications coordinator at the Harriett Tubman Shelter.

Jennifer has a bachelor's degree in political science from Carleton College, a master's degree in public policy from the University of Chicago, and a PhD in geography from the University of California, Berkeley. She has a daughter.
