Gina has a bachelor's degree in biology, a law degree, and a master's degree in tax law from the University of Washington. She lives in West Seattle with her husband, Ben, and daughter.

Gina is a lawyer. She used to be legal counsel and policy advisor for the King County Executive.  She also previously taught seminar classes on local government policy at the University of Washington.

Gina Topp's campaign for school district director is her first entry into politics.
