Carmen Orozco’s campaign for school board member is her first run for public office.

Carmen currently works as a partner at TNTP, where she leads efforts to hire and train diverse educators. She previously worked as a director of business operations and senior manager at TNTP. She also served as a senior recruitment manager for TNTP Teaching Fellows, where she sought top talent for high-need schools in Arizona. Additionally, she was a recruitment ambassador for the Arizona Teaching Fellows and Fort Worth Teaching Fellows programs.

Carmen is originally from Los Angeles and later moved to Phoenix. She attended Arizona State University and earned a bachelor's degree in education from Northern Arizona University. She has lived in the West Valley for over a decade and currently resides in Goodyear with her husband and 3 children.
