Hal Herndon is the Brantley County Commissioner. He was appointed to this position in 2021, and is serving his first term.

Herndon is an Instructor with the Emergency Management Institute. He has experience holding several positions with the Glynn County Fire Department as Fire and Emergency Services Instructor and Deputy Chief. He has also worked as a paramedic, and as an indirect trainer with the Department of Homeland Security Center of Domestic Preparedness.

Herndon studied Fire Science at the University of Cincinnati and Computer Science at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. He lives in Nahunta, Georgia.
