Ernest Jones' campaign for county sheriff is his first run for public office.

Ernest has worked in law enforcement for over 56 years. He most recently worked as a deputy at the Garland County Juvenile Detention Center. Jones was previously an officer with the Memphis Police Department, a company investigator with Firestone Tire company in Memphis, and an investigator for the Shelby County public defender's office.
