Charles Cannon is a current member of Georgia House District 172. He was elected in 2023 and has been in office for 1 term.

Charles Cannon served in the United States Army from 2001 to 2014. He began working in the legislative affairs division of the U.S. Army Reserve in 2015. He also worked as the county administrator with the Colquitt County board of commissioners. He runs his family farm and started a small pine straw raking business.

Charles Cannon was born and raised in Moultrie. He is married to Beth, and together they have two daughters. They are active members of the First Presbyterian Church of Moultrie, where Charles has served as a Deacon, Elder, and on the Pastoral Search Committee.
