Matt graduated from The Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida and holds a degree from Mercer University and a law degree from the University of Georgia. He lives in Gwinnett County with his wife Suzette and their three children. They are active members of Perimeter Church. Matt is the president of the Gwinnett County Bar Association and the Duluth Rotary Club and is a member of the Duluth Parks Board.

Matt Reeves has experience practicing business and real estate law at Andersen, Tate & Carr. He also worked as Legal Counsel to Chairman Wendell Willard of the House Judiciary Committee in 2008 and on the Evidence Code Commission.
