Sabriya is originally from Washington D.C. She studied public management & policy at Georgia State University and leadership & management at Troy University. She's currently studying business administration online at Herzing University. Sabriya is married.

Sabriya is a former police lieutenant. She served in law enforcement for around 20 years. Sabriya was also the highest-ranking black female and the sole female firearms instructor in her department at the time of her retirement.
