James Freeman is a Bibb County Board of Education Member for District 6 in Georgia. He was elected to this position in 2021, and is serving his first term. He is also a part-time Chief Municipal Court Judge for the City of Perry in Georgia. He was appointed to this position in 2018.

James is an attorney, and currently works at his own practice, James M. Freeman PC. He previously worked in the private sector, with the law firm, Haney Freeman LLC, and the Law Office of Joseph M Bruno.

James is from Macon, Georgia and graduated from Central High School. He holds a bachelor's degree and a law degree, both from Mercer University. He is married to his wife, with whom they have one child together. Their family attends Northway Church.
