Teresa Jo Campbell is married to her husband Ben, and together they have three sons: Truett, Branson, and Cole. They attend Salem Baptist Church.

Teresa Jo Campbell works as an Election Assistant for the Oglethorpe County Board of Elections and Deputy Clerk for the Oglethorpe County Board of Commissioners. She also worked as a licensed insurance agent.

Teresa Jo Campbell's campaign for tax commissioner is her first entry into politics. 

Wants "to make the taxpayers feel like the office and I are their ally and their biggest advocate for lower taxes, or for any assistance that they need in that department. Also, just being there, being present and communicating with people in the community."

Believes that the biggest issue with foreclosures and tax assessments is providing enough time for people to receive these notices, and making sure that they are received.

Dawn attended Oglethorpe County High School and later graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in sociology from North Georgia College. 
She currently lives with her husband and three children. She attends Sandy Cross Baptist Church.

Dawn currently serves as the Supervisor for B shift, Quality Assurance Officer and EMR coordinator. She previously worked as a a customer service representative, and senior bank teller at Regions Bank in Gainesville. Following that, she was also an EMT and Paramedic at Oglethorpe County EMS.

Dawn Scarborough's campaign for tax commissioner is her first entry into politics.

Plans to run the office efficiently while maintaining fiscal responsibility and accountability.

Dawn Johnson Scarborough

Dawn Scarborough attended Oglethorpe County High School and later graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from North Georgia College. 
She currently lives with her husband Danny and her three children in Oglethorpe. She attended Sandy Cross Baptist Church and was  baptized there.

Tax Commissioners are elected at the county level, and their job is to oversee most phases of the taxing process. These responsibilities include billing, collecting, processing, and distributing taxes. They are generally in charge of property taxes, solid waste fees, public utilities, and renewing your vehicle tag. Notably, the Tax Commissioner does not determine how much taxes you pay. Because taxes are a source of revenue for counties, the tax commissioners’ work is ultimately beneficial to individual cities, education, transportation, and other local services. In addition to administering tax laws, the department is responsible for enforcing laws and  regulations pertaining to the control of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products in Georgia as well as motor vehicle license plate and title administration.
