Tangie Herring's campaign for state representative is her first entry into politics.

Tangie is a career classroom teacher with three decades of experience in education. She is also a small business owner and has authored a children's book titled 'When I Look Into My Daughter's Eyes.'

Tangie was born and still lives in Macon. She pursued higher education at Georgia College, Fort Valley State University, Mercer University, and Georgia State University. Tangie is also a mother, and she has a daughter.
