Mark is from Louisville, Kentucky and attended Eastern High School. He has a diploma in architectural design from the Louisville Technical Institute and an associate's degree in applied science from Jefferson Community College. Mark and his wife Norma have two children. He volunteers at the Historic Middletown Museum, serves on the board of the Historic Middletown Inn, and leads the Middletown Historic Preservation Commission.

Ron is from Noblesville, Indiana. He attended Ball State University. Ron and his wife Nina have three children. He has served on the Middletown Fire Protection District, the City of Middletown Code Enforcement Board, the Middletown Lions Club and the Middletown Chamber of Commerce board. 

Ron worked at the Associated General Contractors of Kentucky.
