Scott earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Fordham University and his law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law. 

Scott works as a court attorney - referee for the New York Unified Court System, where he previously worked as an arbitrator for the Bronx Civil Court small claims part, principal law clerk to associate justice, supreme court appellate term, first judicial department, and associate law clerk. Previously, he also worked as a court attorney for the New York Supreme Court Civil Division, as an associate at Tompkins McGuire, Wachenfeld & Barry, as law clerk to Honorable Marianne Espinosa in the superior court of New Jersey, an intern for the center for social justice at steton hall university and as a summer associate the law firm of Hall and Hall.
