Marline is a project manager at ABB. She previously spent 11 years on active duty in the United States Army, where she was stationed in Korea, Saudi Arabia, and various installations in the USA. After her military service, she worked for major international organizations, including McKesson, IHG, and Dell.

Marline is currently a member of the Duluth City Council. She was appointed in July 2020 and first elected in November 2021. Her current term runs from January 2022 to January 2026.
