Johnny Rabun has lived all of his life in Wrens and graduated from Wrens High School. He went to college for two years and was facing the military draft. He served in the Marine Corps Reserve for six years. He and his wife, Cindy Rabun, live in Wrens.

Johnny previously served on the Wrens City Council for five years. He then served as mayor for four years.
