Angela is from rural south Georgia. She has a bachelor of arts in English and a master of arts in teaching from Emory University, as well as a master of education in educational leadership and administration from the University of Georgia. She lives in Marietta, Georgia.

Angela is the senior director of talent at LEE. She previously worked as a middle school teacher and served as the managing director at Teach For America.
