Connie is currently a Conyers City Councilwoman. She was first elected in 2019 and is currently serving her second term. 

Served on the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) Committee for eight years.

As a city council member, initiated conversations to bring a second round of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds directly to Conyers residents.

As a city council member, established the Summer Enrichment Program for youths, free ID copying for seniors and people with disabilities, CPR/AED training for teens, and family photo events for special needs households.

As a city council member, initiated including city election information in Rockdale water utility bills to boost civic engagement.
