Meet the City Council - City of Graham, NC

Bobby graduated from Louisiana State University and the Florida Institute of Technology,. He moved to Graham in 2019 with his wife, Karen. 

Bobby is a retired US Army Colonel. He served in the Army for 30 years, both on active duty and in the reserves. He later worked at Battelle Memorial Institute, a private nonprofit science and technology company, for 22 years. 

Bobby Chin is currently a council member for the City of Graham.

Bobby Chin

Bobby Chin, a graduate of Louisiana State University and Florida Institute of Technology, was commissioned as a 2LT in 1972 and spent 30 years in the US Army (Active/Reserve) and retired as a Colonel in 2002. He moved to Graham in 2019 with his wife Karen. He is now actively involved with ALCOVETS. He looks forward to serving the citizens of Graham as a councilman.

Bobby is currently a council member for the City of Graham.

Jim Young was born in Alamance County but grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee. After serving in the U.S. Army, he returned to North Carolina and has lived in Graham with his wife for 29 years.

Jim is the owner and founder of Salvation Coffee Company in Burlington. He has been a small business owner for 42 years. After serving in the U.S. Army, he returned to North Carolina and has lived in Graham with his wife for 29 years.
