David is a lawyer and certified public accountant. He practiced law and accounting in Salisbury before moving to Washington, DC, where he served as counsel for U.S. Senator Terry Sanford. After returning to Salisbury, he founded MedExpress Pharmacy. He also purchased and revitalized several downtown buildings, creating Caterpillars, an incubator for small businesses.
