Doug is a co-owner of two small businesses in Davidson County. He has held licenses in HVAC, electrical work, and general contracting in both North and South Carolina since returning from the Navy in 1987. 

Doug is currently a member of the Thomasville City Council. After chairing the Thomasville Board of Planning and Adjustment, he successfully ran for a seat on the city council and won a four-year term. 

Wants to use extensive business skills to help manage business growth in the county.
