Deno is a proud graduate of Terry Sanford High School and Fayetteville Technical Community College. He and his wife Liza, a small business owner and member of the Fayetteville Regional Airport Commission, are raising their son James with the same values of faith, family, and community that have shaped their lives.

Deno is a Senior Broker at Franklin Johnson Commercial Real Estate, where he has worked for several years. He has more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate and over 30 years as a small business owner.

Deno is currently a member of the Fayetteville City Council, representing District 9. He was elected in 2022 and is serving his first term.

Supports expanding workforce housing through public-private partnerships and land trusts.

Supports public/private partnerships to increase affordable housing.

Supports the creation of more workforce housing through public/private partnerships, grants, and land trusts.

Supports building on the police chief's vision to reduce youth crime, expanding parks and recreation, and facilitating attainable housing.

Believes "a safe Fayetteville is a thriving Fayetteville."

Said, "We must not look the other way and enforce our current laws."

Said, "We must do better; we 'can do' better."

Believes filling vacancies and retaining officers is a challenge for the police department.

Said, "Morale is an equal and perhaps even more critical issue. I have served on various boards and committees and our Police Department is certainly not alone in not having the best morale."

Believes in upgrading roads, stormwater systems, and other core infrastructure to keep up with city growth.

Believes roads, stormwater systems, and other core infrastructure must keep pace with growth and meet the needs of all city areas.

Supports creating new programs and partnerships with local schools that are accessible to residents and the military community.
