Cory Miller (Mayor of Belmont, North Carolina, candidate 2025 ...

Cory Miller has a high school diploma from Evans High School. He has been a resident of Belmont for the last 12 years, having moved here from his hometown of Orlando, Florida. He is married and has two children.

Q&A with Belmont municipal candidates

Cory is a small business owner and self-employed artist and designer. He owns Belmont Yoga & The JOYNT in downtown Belmont and runs Lone Ranger Customworks, where he focuses on custom woodworking and design.

Cory's campaign for Belmont Mayor is his first entry into politics. 

Supports small businesses, community accessibility, government transparency, strategic growth, and developing the arts and culture of Belmont.

Supports the development of murals, dog parks, splash pads, playgrounds, connection greenways, and bike lanes.

As a city council member, limited apartments to the Wilkinson Boulevard Corridor, created an overlay district on the peninsula limiting new development to two units per acre, and eliminated the "by right build option" for major developments, making them all conditional use.

As of September 3, 2025, Cory Miller did not have a website or any information online.

Plans to work with state legislators and the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) to improve traffic flow and upgrade infrastructure.
