David is from Grasmere, Staten Island and attended Monsignor Farrell High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and government from Georgetown University. He lives with his family in Staten Island.

David previously worked as the Chief of Staff to New York City Council Minority Leader Steven Matteo. He also previously worked as the Chief of Staff to then-Assemblyman Joseph Borelli and as a constituent services representative in the United States House of Representatives.

David is currently a member of the New York City Council, representing District 50. He assumed office in 2022 and is currently serving his first term.
