Peter Sakai is from McAllen, Texas. He has a bachelor 27s degree in government from the University of Texas and a law degree from the University of Texas School of Law. He and his wife, Raquel  22Rachel 22 Dias-Sakai, have two kids and three grandchildren.

Peter is a district court judge in Bexar County. He has served on the bench for 26 years. Before taking the bench, he worked at a mall in Austin while submitting resumes for other jobs.

Peter is currently the Bexar County Judge. He was elected in 2022 and is currently serving his first term. Before that, he served as a judge on the 225th District Court from 2006 to 2022.
