Judge Thomas G. Jones is a widower and the proud father of a daughter. He is an active member of St. Luke Community United Methodist Church.

Thomas is a judge for Precinct 1-1 of the Dallas County Justice of the Peace in Texas. He has been in this role since 1991. Before taking the bench, he worked for ten years with the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Civil Rights. He also served the Wilmer-Hutchins School District.
