She holds an associate degree in business management/accounting, a Bachelor of Arts degree in general management, a master’s degree in public health administration, and a PhD degree in public health with a concentration in epidemiology from Walden University.

Professional background

Deborah served in the US Army as a combat medic. She previously worked as the program director for ResCare's Arbor Education and Training Center of Augusta, Georgia. She worked as a volunteer youth mentor at Fort Gordon Youth Challenge Academy, and as a health sciences teacher at Grand Canyon University College of Nursing.

Political background

Deborah Fisher is currently a city council member. She was first elected in 2018 and has been in office for three terms.
