George is from Mount Vernon, New York. He earned his bachelor's degree from Fordham University and his master's degree in public administration from New York University. 

George previously worked as a marketing executive.

George S. Latimer currently serves as the Westchester County Executive. He was first elected in 2017 and is in his second term. He previously served in the New York State Senate from 2013 to 2017, the New York State Assembly from 2004 to 2012,  the Westchester County Board of Legislators from 1991 to 2004, and on the Rye City Council from 1987 to 1991,
