Troyshika (Troy) Shaw

Troy Shaw is from Kinston, North Carolina. She has a bachelor's degree in family and consumer sciences from North Carolina A&T State University and studied fashion design and marketing at the University of Paris. She attends Remnant of Christ Fellowship Church.

Troy Shaw graduated from Kinston High School, where she received both an academic and sports scholarship. She attended the University of Paris for exchange students, majoring in fashion design and marketing, and later attended North Carolina A&T State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in family and consumer sciences with a minor in psychology. She is a member of Remnant of Christ Fellowship Church. She lives in Bunn, North Carolina.

- The mayor leads the executive branch of local government, presiding over city council meetings, making sure city departments run smoothly, and providing services to citizens. 
- The mayor attends and runs City Council meetings, serving as an important leader for how local laws get set. These laws affect local services, such as Police, City Planning, Parks & Recreation, and Transportation.  
- The Mayor in some circumstances may vote to break a tie in council meetings. They do not have veto power.
