She attended the University of Paris for exchange students, majoring in fashion design and marketing, and later attended North Carolina A&T State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in family and consumer sciences with a minor in psychology. She is a member of Remnant of Christ Fellowship Church. She lives in Bunn, North Carolina.
