As the owner of New Life Farms and Franklin National Transport, Jay has created innovative programs to fight food insecurity, support families, and strengthen local networks of care. Her experience as a business owner has given her firsthand insight into the challenges entrepreneurs face in Mesquite. She understands the importance of cutting red tape, supporting local businesses, and fostering economic growth that benefits the entire community. Jay has proudly called Mesquite home for her and her children for many years. She has been a small business owner, experiencing firsthand the challenges entrepreneurs face. From navigating city regulations to building strong local networks, she understands the obstacles and opportunities that small businesses encounter in Mesquite. Her entrepreneurial spirit grew even stronger during the pandemic, when she launched several successful businesses, including New Life Farms and Franklin National Transport. Today, at New Life Farms, Jay and her partners remain dedicated to transforming lives through access to nutritious food and opportunities for growth. Beyond her professional and civic work, Jay is most proud of being a mother of four, which fuels her passion to create a healthy, safe, thriving, and opportunity-rich Mesquite for every family.

Jay is a small business owner. She owns New Life Farms and Franklin National Transport. Before starting her own businesses, she worked in corporate America. She also served as Catering Director and Special Events Coordinator at the Episcopal School of Dallas.

Jay's campaign for Mesquite City Council Member, District 2 is her first entry into politics.

Kenny Green is from Dallas, Texas. He attended Townview Magnet Center High School in Dallas. He is pursuing a business degree from Upper Iowa University. He lives with his wife, Stephanie, and his stepdaughter, Makayla, in Mesquite. He is a member of the Church of Christ.
