She understands the importance of cutting red tape, supporting local businesses, and fostering economic growth that benefits the entire community. Jay has proudly called Mesquite home for her and her children for many years. She has been a small business owner, experiencing firsthand the challenges entrepreneurs face. From navigating city regulations to building strong local networks, she understands the obstacles and opportunities that small businesses encounter in Mesquite. Her entrepreneurial spirit grew even stronger during the pandemic, when she launched several successful businesses, including New Life Farms and Franklin National Transport. Today, at New Life Farms, Jay and her partners remain dedicated to transforming lives through access to nutritious food and opportunities for growth. Beyond her professional and civic work, Jay is most proud of being a mother of four, which fuels her passion to create a healthy, safe, thriving, and opportunity-rich Mesquite for every family.
