Daniel Alemán Jr. was elected as Mesquite’s first Latino mayor Nov. 2021. Prior to his election, Mr. Alemán represented District 6 on the City Council since 2016. Mr. Alemán has been a resident since 1998. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Dallas Baptist University and a Master’s of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
